UX and Product Management Merge

QuestionShould UX and Product Management merge?

No. There is no methodological justification to support merging product management with UX.

There is no discipline overlap between UX and product management.

According to PMTK foundation rules, User Experience (UX) resides in the solution space and comprises sensory design and interaction design.

Product managers need to understand many different disciplines as they work with many internal corporate functions, including UX.

UX is an autonomous domain and corporate function that can be explained and understood using proven methodological rationales that conform to the Blackblot PMTK Methodology™ foundation rules.

The Blackblot CRT, The User eXperience (UX) Domain - Blackblot CRT is based on The User eXperience (UX) Domain editorial on page 159 in the Blackblot PMTK Book: Second Edition.
